The Risk & Insurance Officer will be part of the Epiroc Australia Compliance and Governance function, which includes Compliance, Risk Management, Insurance and Governance.
You will report to the Epiroc Australia's Compliance Manager and work closely on a daily basis with the Group Risk and Insurance Manager (role based in Sweden).

In this role you will support the different functions and businesses within the Epiroc South Pacific Holdings group of legal entities, with an extensive range of risk and insurance related activities.
Working closely with stakeholders within these companies as well as external parties e.g.
insurance brokers and insurance companies.
This work will occur in full alignment with Epiroc Group Risk and Insurance strategies and in collaboration with the Group Risk Management and Insurance function based in Sweden.

Key responsibilities: Coordinate insurance value reporting for group insurances (corporate) Ensuring an efficient process and coordination between Group Risk Management, insurance providers and companies, functions and business units in Australia Servicing companies with insurance certificates Support in insurance claims Support in M&A process and insurance integration Evaluating adequacy of insurance coverage, limits and deductibles for locally purchased insurances Handling the insurance renewal process Negotiating and placing of insurance coverage Ensuring accuracy of insurance policies and payments Reviewing insurance clauses in contracts and providing advice in line with Group Risk and Insurance guidelines Participating in the Risk Management activities for example loss prevention, business continuity management as needed The ideal candidate: Relevant academic education 10+ years working experience within the insurance industry, preferably in an international environment Comprehensive insurance knowledge within property, business interruption, construction/installation, liability and marine cargo.
A plus if knowledge within any of the following areas; cyber, financial lines and M&A Strong knowledge and relations within the insurance industry In this role you need to have exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills, together with an ability to work under high pressure and being a skilled project leader.
As a person you are also a self-starter, structured and goal oriented.
Great communication skills together with a high level of integrity is required.

Location and travel This position is based at the Epiroc Australia head office at 19 Reid Road, Perth Airport.
Occasional travel is required.
