Risk and Controls Manager (Tech and Cyber)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technology Risk and Compliance Manager who is outcomes-driven and can understand technology risks, with the ability to define business compliance requirements. This role requires passion for finding better ways to enable agile venture development teams to manage risk and compliance as part of their everyday work, focusing on automation and scalable compliance through regulatory technology (regtech).Responsibilities
Assessing and managing data and technology risks that new digital businesses face, ensuring activities are within risk appetite and comply with legal and regulatory standards.Clearly articulating business compliance requirements and supporting documentation of functional/technical requirements for technology build/configuration.Assisting with building and maintaining risk management requirements for teams deploying scalable RegTech solutions.Working with a range of technology and business experts on end-to-end solutions, ensuring obligations and risks are understood and managed.Skills Required
Experience with managing Tech risk / operational risk, ideally with Incident and Issue management.Experience with driving change, ideally relating to coordinating the implementation of solutions to issues across broad, complex areas.Demonstrated experience in defining business requirements and shaping technology solutions to meet those requirements.Implementation experience in compliance domains, including exposure to technology controls and requirements within regulated businesses.Analytical mindset with an eye for detail and the ability to influence.Experience with regulatory compliance.Experience working for technology companies or other tech-focused environments would be an advantage or a real passion for this space.Comfortable with uncertainty and taking on big challenges that push you outside of your comfort zone.Persistent in following up stakeholders and holding them accountable for delivering on their commitments.Confident to contribute your views, effectively communicating with and influencing a range of stakeholders.Consistently demonstrate high integrity and a strong ethical approach to achieving the right outcomes.Research shows that people from underrepresented backgrounds sometimes hesitate to apply for roles if they don't meet every requirement.
