The Risk & Compliance Officer is responsible for the administration and support of the enterprise risk, compliance and assurance activities, and ongoing review and monitoring of the Bank's risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
This involves working with staff at all levels across the Bank to identify, analyse, evaluate, treat, and monitor key material and compliance risks.
Major Responsibility AreasThe main responsibilities include performing the following:
Compliance review, risk and controls testing, and risk assessmentsCompliance monitoring on regulation updates and implementationMonthly credit quality reviewsAML/CTF/KYC compliance reviews and monitoringIncident and breach investigations, follow up and reportingCompliance and audit investigations, follow up and reportingCompliance reporting to regulatorsManagement reporting, including monthly Enterprise Risk reports to Management Committees, Executive Committees and BoardReview and update Enterprise Risk policies, procedures, plans, frameworks, risk appetite statementMonitor and review specific end user calculatorsTraining and communication including updating intranet news and forums, face-to-face training, webinarsRegular updating of risk registers, metrics and records in the GRC systemMaintaining the Policies and Procedures repository libraryAd hoc projects, including testing and implementing new processes, controls and systemsTechnical SkillsKnowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services and licence obligations in Australia (e.g.
ASIC, APRA, AML, CTF, Privacy Act, NCCP).Ability to develop policies, procedures, plans, frameworks.Risk management and reporting skills.Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills.Strong communication skills including clear, concise written and oral communication skills.Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other systems (Promapp).Competent in using and maintaining GRC system.Education & QualificationsTertiary qualifications in related discipline or equivalentWork ExperienceMinimum 3 years in a risk management and compliance, audit, quality assurance within financial services or similar roles, preferably in a mutual bankBenefitsWorking with Australian Military Bank will provide you access to a great range of benefits including:
