Full time, continuing appointmentProfessional level 6 salary - $84,931 to $90,518Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leaveCasuarina CampusSupport Charles Darwin University (CDU) to improve risk management and assurance activities.About the PositionAs a Risk and Assurance Officer, you will work with the Director Risk and Assurance and other Governance team members to support CDU's drive to improve risk management and assurance activities. Some of your duties will include:Actively contribute to continuous improvement of risk and assurance practices and processes by identifying and acting on opportunities to support better practice of governance and increase CDU's risk management maturity.Prepare succinct and relevant risk and assurance reporting to University Committees.Partner with the Faculties and business units to implement the enterprise risk plan and program of work to drive the successful integration of the risk and assurance function across CDU's operations.Maintenance and monitoring of the Governance Waterhole (intranet) content and SharePoint site.Establishing and maintaining a positive and effective working relationship with key internal stakeholders.About YouTo be successful, you will require:At least two (2) years demonstrable experience in internal auditing, risk management or assurance services.Good understanding of the risk management process and experience providing risk and assurance advice / services in other organisations.High standard of communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to establish, collaborate with and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of academic and professional colleagues across CDU.Demonstrated capacity to understand and apply legislation and policy to meet compliance obligations.Highly developed business writing skills and a demonstrated capacity to prepare high quality written materials and write clearly and succinctly for various audiences.Excellent analytical skills and an ability to identify and understand key issues, remove obstacles, and find creative solutions.Highly focused and structured approach to completing tasks within strict deadlines with the tenacity and resourcefulness to 'roll up the sleeves' when needed and follow through and enforce when challenged.RemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Professional level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931 to $90,518 per annum.
