Role OverviewFanDuel is seeking a Risk Analyst to join its global Risk & Trading team in Melbourne, Australia.
This role focuses on analyzing betting activity across a variety of sporting events, balancing risk mitigation with an optimal customer experience.
The ideal candidate will contribute to liability management, customer risk analysis, and key performance reporting while collaborating with internal and global stakeholders to enhance FanDuel's risk management processes.
What you'll do:In time, you will be creating and tracking key performance metrics that establish the impact of Risk Operations responsibilities and decisionsLiability management and reacting to alerts and suspensionsCustomer Risk Management and analysing betting patterns to better enhance the way we use our Customer Segmentation tiersWorking with people managers within the team and key external stakeholders, providing feedback & collaborating to optimise processes and drive performance improvementsContributing to enhancing our Price Assurance strategies to achieve valuable team KPI'sBuilding and maintaining key working relationships with key partners around the globeIn time, mentoring other members of the team & helping ensure work is performed optimally in terms of accuracy, efficiency & speedThe FanDuel team in Melbourne adopt a flexible 5 day working week policy based on customer needs to ensure a great work-life balance for our staff.
There is a requirement for weekend work, but shifts of up to 8 hours will generally fall between 7am – 6pm allowing you to still have your nights! Qualification / RequirementsRequired: Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure.Understanding of statistics and probability, with a passion for data and numbers.Proficiency in Excel and strong computer literacy.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.Preferred: Interest in sports is an advantage.Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive training environment.
