The Position
The Business Analyst is a full-time position reporting directly to the Commercial Manager but also interacting with the CEO, CFO, and Financial Controller. You will be responsible for providing accountability across the business and supporting operational and executive decision makers. You play a vital role being the link between the finance and farm teams, extracting production context for financial analysis and reporting.
The role based in Wagga Wagga works in a positive and 'can-do' environment, where staff work collaboratively and interact constantly to achieve outcomes. A social team with purpose.
This approach will include the following (but not limited to):
Research and strategy, writing commodity and livestock market reports, and industry research including reports for the Board. Financial modelling and investment analysis on business opportunities, including written investment proposals and assisting operational staff in making decisions. Financial and operational reporting which includes budgeting, CAPEX analysis, consolidation of KPI's, and helping build tools to improve efficiency. The Person
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following experience, skills, and key attributes:
Demonstrated success in a similar role, ideally with at least 1-3 years' experience. Relevant finance, commerce, accounting, or similar qualifications. Foundational data analysis skills ideally in an agricultural environment. Proven knowledge of Excel with the ability to use formulas. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. High levels of professionalism and integrity with an enthusiastic can-do personality and a strong team focus. Strong organisational skills including the ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines. Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and liaison skills able to relate to and communicate with farm operational staff. A current driver's license is required as travel may be needed from time to time.
