The Regional Lifestyle & Engagement Specialist supports the functions of Lifestyle, Resident Engagement and Volunteers across their allocated portfolio.
The role is responsible for supporting optimal resident engagement that is personalised to individual goals, is meaningful and enabling.
Leading the design of improvement activities, collaborating with other Regis portfolios, implementing Regis processes and systems, coaching, and education of employees.
The role will also take a specialist lead in identifying risk of isolation and areas of non-compliance to ASQSC standards, and work with Operations collaboratively to identify solutions, and develop corrective action plans and plans for continuous improvement.
The important role you'll playKey responsibilities include:
Providing effective support to Regis communities – includes offering practical support, coaching, and forward planning to address challenges and to promote continuous improvement and innovation.Support compliance and development of the National Lifestyle and Engagement Program – leading, coaching, mentoring, guiding, and collaborating to ensure national systems, processes, and program delivery align with resident needs and industry standards.Foster Team Culture and Collaboration.What you'll bring to the roleCert IV Leisure & Health or similar (preferred but not essential).Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.Empathy and Compassion: Understanding residents' emotional and physical needs.Leadership and Coaching: Ability to mentor teams and ensure best practices.Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.Organisational Skills: Efficiently managing time and multiple responsibilities.Cultural Competence: Respecting and promoting diversity within teams and residents.Adaptability: Flexibility in responding to changing needs and circumstances.Collaboration: Fostering teamwork and valuing contributions from all members.Positive Attitude: Maintaining a supportive and encouraging demeanour.Continuous Improvement Mindset: Seeking feedback and implementing enhancements.Knowledge of Aged Care Standards: Understanding industry regulations and best practices.Analytical Skills: Tracking and measuring initiative impacts for improvement.Community Engagement: Building connections between residents and the community.Additional requirements:This role involves traveling across multiple sites, including occasional interstate travel, which may vary over time.
Flexibility is essential to adapt to changing organisational priorities and directions based on needs or risks.
