About the Role The RGM Manager position sits within the Commercial Team of Diageo Australia and reports to the Head of RGM. By moving the RGM function from Finance to Commercial, the business is looking to elevate and make the function more strategic, as well as bring it closer to the Customers.
Purpose of the Role
The RGM Manager is responsible for developing and executing pricing, promotion, price-pack architecture, and trade investment strategies to optimize revenue and profitability across Diageo's portfolio. The role will lead efforts to balance short-term revenue and profit goals with long-term strategic objectives.
By utilizing data and analytics, the RGM Manager will drive pricing and promotional efficiency, identify opportunities to optimize price-pack architecture, channel & customer mix and trade investment, and ensure strategies align with consumer and customer trends. This position plays a critical role in influencing key stakeholders across commercial, finance and the broader business.
Role Accountabilities Lead the development of RGM strategies, for allocated categories, that align with long-term business goals.Provide strategic input into business planning processes, ensuring that pricing, promotion, product mix and trade investment strategies contribute to Diageo's overall growth objectives.Achieve revenue and profitability targets through effective revenue growth management strategies.Drive margin improvement through pricing and promotional strategies (where relevant).Ensure efficient allocation of promotional budgets and broader trade investment across categories, sub-categories, brands and channels/customers.Lead cross-functional collaboration with rest of Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Supply to drive integrated commercial strategies.Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on RGM levers.Mentor and develop team members (from all functions) to build commercial and analytical capability within the organization.Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Role Qualification & Experience: 3-4+ years of experience in developing and implementing strategies in a top tier management consulting firm (ideally MBB).Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math or related field (MBA preferred).Strong business and financial acumen, with strong attention to details.Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis, financial modelling and translating insights into actionable strategies.Proficient in data analytics platforms and software (inc Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).Experience working in the Consumer Goods industry beneficial (but not mandatory).Strong leadership and first experience at managing team members.
