This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve months and may be used to fill ongoing permanent opportunities.

About the role The Performance Assurance and Risk (PAR) Directorate conducts independent reviews into the death in custody of a prisoner, and discretionary reviews at the request of the coroner.
The Review Officer is responsible for undertaking independent reviews of reportable deaths to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and to provide advice and recommendations to assist a coroner's investigation relating to the treatment and care of the deceased while in custody as well as to improve operational processes to mitigate risks.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Please provide examples to support your claims Demonstrated experience in conducting sensitive reviews into reportable deaths in a complex organisation is essential including the ability to take statements from witnesses and respondents. Knowledge of administrative and judicial procedures and a thorough understanding of relevant coronial processes and requirements of the Coroner's Act 1996. All remaining Job Related Requirements will be assessed at a later stage in the recruitment process.

Pool Recruitment This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes.
Permanent, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
