Your new role We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Policy, Research and Reviews team as Review Officer on a full-time fixed term (parental leave backfill) basis.
Reporting to the Manager, Reviews, you will manage a review caseload and conduct reviews of investigations undertaken from a diverse range of areas.
You will have oversight of serious incident notifications from Victoria Police and deaths associated with police contact.
Duties include: Conduct comprehensive and routine reviews of Victorian government agency bodies including Victoria Police.Prepare formal correspondence to the internal team and other Government agencies, as well as responses to review enquiries to all internal and external stakeholders.Check to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve review outcomes and that information is managed and stored appropriately.Prepare analysis of critical review reports on deficiencies and issues including recommendations for action or further follow up by IBAC.We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities: Experience in effectively using government case management systems.Preferred experience in preparing high level reports in a Government environment.Desirable tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in independent review or investigation practices.Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
