Experienced Revenue Accountant required for a business partnering role in not-for-profit community services organisation

About the opportunity
Sitting in the finance team and reporting directly to the CFO, the Revenue Accountant will be responsible for revenue collection, reconciliation, and recognition functions within a Community Services Not for Profit organisation currently operating across two states.
The new Revenue Accountant will have previous experience of working within the AASB15 standards, and with a commitment to continuous improvement, the role will provide a business partnering service to Program Managers.
Duties will include: Ensuring all revenue processes are accurately documented and aligned to policies and procedures Performing month-end close activities Monitoring accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments Collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide input for revenue forecasting Producing high quality, accurate and timely Board & Management Reporting Managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of revenue related company policies Staying updated on the accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition Working to identify opportunities for process development The successful candidate will have: Relevant accounting qualifications Experience of revenue accounting specifically Good working knowledge of AASB15 standards CA/CPA qualification (desirable but not essential) Experience in a similar Community Services, Not for Profit organisations, (Employment Services experience would be desirable but not essential) Experience working on government contracts (desirable not essential) Excellent analytical, problem solving and prioritising skills The ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide a business partnering function The ability to work to a high standard with exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail Excellent time management, and able to work well under pressure to meet agreed deadlines Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check Applications:
