)Brisbane based positionWhat you'll be doing The objective of the Revenue Accountant role is to develop/maintain best practice systems, processes and controls to ensure that forward sales, interline, no show and ancillary revenue is accounted for accurately and in a timely manner.
The role involves understanding and analysing data with a view to continuous improvement to drive efficiencies and keep pace with industry and business change.
Responsibilities include: Revenue Accounting and Month End responsibilities including;Accurate and timely production of revenue/un-earned revenue, breakage and interline related resultsReview and analysis of revenue/un-earned revenue and interline items for accuracy and reasonablenessProvide data or analysis to finance/business to support the monthly results including adhoc requirement for informationEnsure compliance with relevant credit policies on processing flight tickets and ancillary documents.Ensure completion of all balance sheet reconciliationsBuild effective & productive working relationships across the business and within financeManage the development and maintenance of systems, processes, and controls for your areaCompile audit work files with supporting documentation for external auditorsEnsure all recommendations from Internal Audit are actioned in a timely mannerContinuously look to identify and implement process improvements in relation to revenue accounting and processesFoster a positive working atmosphereYou'll be great in this role if you have… CPA/ CA Qualification (or working towards gaining this)High level of computer literacy, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills3-5 years commercial experience, ideally in Revenue AccountingExperience in month-end accounting processesExperience in a dynamic environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to improve processesAn eye for detail and ability to efficiently analyse financial informationAviation experience is preferred, but not essentialReady to apply?
