About the role
The Retirement Adviser role is a new role at Cbus specifically created to deliver a brand-new advice offering with an expanded scope of personal advice. The role will focus primarily on the advice needs of members and their partner as they near or enter retirement. Your day will be spent on pre-qualified and booked appointments, preparing advice outcomes and related administrative duties. You can offer intra-fund advice for no additional cost or a simple, scaled scope of advice for an affordable fee.
It will be crucial that you can identify which is more appropriate and why in each case. Where the advice needs exceed the scope of advice you can offer you will refer the member to one of the external financial advice practices in our referral program for comprehensive advice. Paraplanning support will be provided when a fee is charged for the advice. In cases where no fee is charged, you will prepare a very simple SOA. This support is designed to ensure you can focus on delivering the best advice to our members, with confidence.
About You
Your motivation to deliver better retirement outcomes for your clients through simple, easy to understand personal advice is important. You will be working with clients in a broad range of financial circumstances, many of whom would not normally find personal retirement advice accessible or affordable. Your drive and dedication will make a real difference in their lives.
You pride yourself on your effective communication with clients from all walks of life and your ability to deliver advice in a simple, accessible way. You have a strong compliance record, demonstrating your commitment to meeting all of your obligations as a Financial Adviser.
You will also be eligible to remain authorised beyond 1 January 2026 by education, experience, or a combination of both.
If you can demonstrate experience mentoring and/or leading other advisers to help them succeed this would be highly regarded as there is room for growth into a leadership role for the right person. If this opportunity resonates with your values and career aspirations, please apply now.
