This full-time, ongoing position is based at a new campus in Cobblebank, and involves instructing students in grades 7-8. Designing and developing lesson plans and instructional materials in alignment with the Catholic religious education curriculum.Integrating Catholic teachings, doctrines, and values into lesson plans to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the faith.Conducting engaging and informative classes to impart knowledge of Catholic theology, scripture, and religious traditions.Facilitating discussions, activities, and reflective exercises to encourage students' critical thinking and personal spiritual growth.Providing pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering a supportive and empathetic learning environment.Collaborating with parents, guardians, and the broader community to strengthen the connection between religious education and students' lived experiences.Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of developments in Catholic theology, religious education pedagogy, and educational best practices.Exhibit unwavering dedication to continuous professional growth and development, staying attuned to the evolving educational landscape.Skills & Experience: Completed relevant Qualifications in EducationMaintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registrationHave unrestricted working rights in AustraliaDemonstrate previous experience in teaching Religious Education (Catholic)Previous experience teaching within the Catholic System advantageousAbility to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Teaching Religious Studies to students in years 7-8- other methods are welcomedBrand new campus facilities- opened 2024Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $80,000 to $115,000Continuing opportunities for professional developmentThe School: Two campuses with students from 7-12 and 7-8 currently.Approachable management team and smaller team structuresStrong pastoral care program for students and staffBeing a part of a community with a robust moral foundation that places a high emphasis on character development and social responsibilityGreat resources and facilitiesWell respected school within the local communityWhy work with Tradewind?
