Our opportunityAs Retail Design & Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design and fit-out phases of retail, office and development projects across AM portfolio, ensuring that branding standards are met and that our Retail Partners achieve a timely and successful store opening. The role involves close collaboration with Retailers, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality retail environments.
Your responsibilities will include:Lead the design review process for incoming Retailer shop drawings and plans, ensuring they meet the brand's retail design criteria and standards.Manage the coordination between tenants and construction teams, ensuring a smooth handover and fit-out process within designated timelines.Ensure all tenant designs comply with the relevant codes, regulations, and sustainability requirements.Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.Serve as the primary liaison between tenants, landlords, and external consultants to facilitate effective communication and project execution.Coordinate with leasing, operations, and marketing teams for the alignment of design and delivery strategies with company goals.Oversee the quality control of construction and fit-out work and address any discrepancies or delays.Negotiate and manage contract agreements with architects, contractors, and other service providers.Ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and time constraints.Your point of differencePrevious experience in the retail industry is required.High level of IT proficiency and design software e.g. Microsoft Office package, Adobe and project management tools.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail, influencing, presentation and negotiation.Demonstrated experience working with design documentation.Demonstrated ability to convey ideas visually.Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative when required.Proven track record of managing multiple retail design and delivery projects simultaneously.5+ years of retail design, architecture and construction project management experience.Knowledge of retail industry standards, store planning, materials, and specifications.Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to solve problems, improve system and procedural efficiency and effectiveness, and resolve issues as they arise.A team player attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, multitask and adapt to change, and a willingness to be flexible.An eye for detail across customer touch points when assessing asset presentation.A customer-centric focus with a strong understanding of the local community and trade area.Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.All of these attributes are preferred, if you think you may be the right fit for the role please still apply.
