About the opportunity: As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
Pay Rate: $27.48 increases to $29.37 after 3 months probation + 12% SuperannuationExtensive, supportive training (up to 5 weeks) on commencementPermanent Part Time position working 25 hours per week: 5 hours per day. Rotating roster from Monday to Friday between 8:45 AM - 5:06 PMRelief team members will be assigned shifts at various Post Offices within a specific area, so you must be willing to work at the following locations: Ingle Farm Post Office, Salisbury South BH, St Agnes Post OfficeYou'll be: Performing customer sales and service transactions with customersManaging high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS)Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport InterviewsPromoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activitiesAssisting customers with mail lodgements and associated costsBuilding rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needsAssisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenanceAbout you: You're friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable, and you love working in a team environment. You're ready to put the customer at the center of everything you do to help make a difference in the community. You'll also need to:
