About the opportunity As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience.
Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices.
It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one.
And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
Role Details: Loaded casual rate $33.66 / hour increases to $35.98 / hour after 3 months, + 12% Superannuation (Junior rates apply for those under 21 during training)Extensive, supportive training (up to 12 weeks) on commencement, Monday - Friday, 4 - 5 hours / dayCasual Position | "On Call" After Training your roster will include a mix of both scheduled and unscheduled shifts, Monday to Friday, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:06 p.m.Relief team members will be assigned shifts at various Post Offices within a specific area, so you must be willing to work at the following locations: Mackay PO, Mackay Caneland PO and Mackay WestYou'll be: Performing customer sales and service transactions with customersManaging high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport InterviewsPromoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activitiesAssisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costsBuilding rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needsAssisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenanceAbout you You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.
