About the opportunity As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience.
Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices.
It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one.
And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
Role Details ? Commences on $33.66 / hour for the first 3 months, then increases to $35.98 / hour (Junior rates apply to those under 21), + 12% Superannuation Extensive, supportive training on commencement, from Monday - Friday, minimum 4 hour shift daily for up to 12 weeks This unique Casual role combines the duties of front of house customer service with occasional back of house mail sorting tasks.
We are looking for someone who is truly open to an " o n cal l " casual role after training, shifts will fall between Mon-Fri 9 am - 5 pm and will be rostered for a minimum of 4 hours / shift.

Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)? Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews? Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs? Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance? About you? You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment.

You'll also need to: Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling? Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift?
