About the opportunity As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices. It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one. And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.? Role Details Adult (21 and over) pay rate $32.37/ hour, increases to $34.59 / hour post training (junior rates apply for under 21) + 12% Superannuation. 12 weeks paid training program, first 3 weeks will initially be full time hours. Dynamic role working alongside the Delivery team in the mailroom, you will be trained on counter duties as well as box sorting. On call after training, you will need to be fully available, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. You'll be: Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers? Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)? Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews? Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs? Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance? About you? You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love working in a team environment. You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community.? You'll also need to: Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling? Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift?
