Catch is currently seeking a Buying Assistant to partner with the various business units across Catch. As the Buying Assistant, you will be hands-on and a proactive support to the Buyer, assisting a variety of product categories with analytical and administrative tasks.
What you'll be doing
What does a normal day in the life of a Buying Assistant look like? Well, no two days are alike at Catch, but you could probably expect your day to include some of the following things:
Provide efficient and timely support to the Buyer/Senior Buyer, handling portfolio management and administration. Assist in weekly and monthly reporting for the Buyer/Senior Buyer. Develop and maintain professional relationships with external suppliers, ensuring prompt responses and issue resolution. Monitor sales trends and identify new opportunities. Maintain market awareness in terms of competitor strategies, pricing, service offerings and overall positioning. Coordinate with customer service to address inquiries. Collaborate with the team in Manila. Deputizing for the Buyer when necessary. Create and manage Product Information Documents (PIDs). Ensure accuracy of advertisements, including images, multipliers, size charts, etc. Follow up on queries, image sourcing and copy information from suppliers when necessary. Address Purchase Order (PO) queries from the Vendor Management team. Manage samples, ensuring timely ordering and delivery for product setup. Maintain product keywords, attributes, search optimization, and overall product sellability. The skills you'll have
1-2 years' experience as a Buying Assistant Excellent numerical and analytical skills High level of communication skills and attention to detail A solid understanding of retail pricing, cost, sell, margin, and mark-up Great communication and relationship-building skills Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically across PowerPoint, Word, Excel Able to multitask and manage conflicting priorities High attention to detail and solutions-based thinking Commitment, honesty and integrity, enthusiasm, reliability, positive, proactive, team-player, trustworthy You have a can-do attitude!
