Super Dollar is excited to announce the expansion of our successful Christmas Shop concept into Howrah, TAS, following the success of our Maitland location in NSW. We are committed to bringing festive cheer and value to our customers.
As we expand our operations to include a new Christmas Shop in Howrah, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Retail Buyer to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring our shop offers a diverse and exciting range of products that delight our customers during the festive season.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and select seasonal merchandise that aligns with market trends and customer preferences.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor stock levels and sales trends to ensure optimal inventory turnover.
Analyze sales data to inform future buying decisions and promotional strategies.
Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop effective merchandising strategies and promotions.
Prepare and manage seasonal buying plans and budgets, aligning purchasing strategies with sales forecasts and overall business objectives.
Key Requirements:
At least 2 years experience in retail buying, preferably within a seasonal or festive context.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Excellent analytical skills to assess sales data and market trends.
A keen eye for product selection and visual merchandising.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
A degree in a related field is preferred but not essential.
Experience with inventory management systems and retail analytics tools.
Salary: $75000 per year plus superannuation
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week
