Position Overview:
We seek a Retail Buyer to join our team and play a key role in selecting and sourcing products for our stores. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building strong relationships with suppliers and managing product selection to align with our customer's needs and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Select and purchase products to be sold across our stores, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers from Australia, China, Korea, and Japan. Collaborate closely with store managers to understand store-specific needs and adjust stock accordingly. Monitor competitor sales trends and adjust purchasing strategies to stay competitive. Review sales feedback to make informed adjustments to our product offerings. Qualifications and Requirements:
Three years + experience in retail buying, preferably in the supermarket or grocery sector. Strong communication and negotiation skills, proven to manage supplier relationships. Experience in international sourcing, particularly from Asian markets. Analytical skills to interpret sales data and make data-driven purchasing decisions. Strong teamwork skills to work closely with store managers and other team members. •
