Retail Buyer / Purchasing Manager
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Purchasing department by sourcing and procuring items required by management at competitive prices without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle purchase requests and conduct market research and comparisons.Coordinate all aspects of product sourcing, purchasing, and stock control.Select suppliers based on quality, regularity of supply, and price.Ensure products are handled, stored, and issued in compliance with quality and safety standards.Negotiate and procure products at the best possible prices and report on inventory levels and commitments.Assist in tracking top-selling items, monitoring cost of sales, and analyzing trends and variations.Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain adequate stock levels and meet business needs.Implement effective stock rotation practices and minimize spoilage and waste.Conduct regular stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Track and control all areas of Stores and Purchasing, ensuring compliance with Hilton policies and procedures.Requirements:
College graduate.Advanced proficiency in computers and Microsoft programs (Excel and Word).Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing, ordering, storage, sales, and cost control.Demonstrated trust and integrity in dealing with cash, payments, and financial reporting.Previous procurement experience in a Hotel or Hospitality environment is desirable.Knowledge of computerized purchasing and stock control systems.Positive involvement and interaction with the overall Hilton team.Knowledge of industry revenue and profitability maximization techniques.High customer service focus and attention to detail.Fluent in English to communicate professionally with suppliers and team members.About Hilton:
