Retail Analyst - Country Road Group

The Retail Analyst will support the Retail Analytics Manager in refining and defining retail success metrics, including customer, financial and operational targets at the store level.
The role will involve tracking key retail KPI's, identifying risks and opportunities and providing actionable insights to Regional Managers to optimise regional operations and profitability.
Key Accountabilities Support the Retail Analytics Manager to define and refine retail success metrics and store-level targets (customer, financial, operational), ensuring alignment with finance-set budgets Conduct focused analyses on customer behaviour, financials and operations to support strategic decision-making Address data-related queries from store teams and deliver reports that help improve instore performance (e.g.
top and bottom store rankings, sales and labour budget tracking) Ensure the accuracy and reliability of critical datasets, such as the store master list, by performing regular data audits and updates Measure the impact of retail initiatives by analysing performance before and after launch, driving data-based decisions Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, aligned reporting tools and metrics across all brands.
Key Capabilities 1-2 years of experience in retail analytics or a related field Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g.
Excel, SQL) Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g.
Power BI, Tableau) Knowledge of dashboard creation and maintenance Strong understands of retail KPI's and metrics Familiarity with database management and data integrity practices Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and risks Adaptability to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
