Through these, we built trusted processes and systems to establish ourselves as a reputable insurance builder and restorations specialist Australia-wide.About the RoleAs our Restorations Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical aid throughout the course of a claim; where homes and businesses have experienced damage by fire, smoke, soot, water, or mould. Our technicians perform or arrange repairs and restorations as required to restore the affected area to its pre-loss state.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site assessments of insured properties, developing detailed reports, scopes, and cost estimatesPerform and oversee restoration tasks, including drying, fire/smoke cleanup, and mould remediationSet up and monitor equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers to ensure effective restorationDocument all phases of the job using our internal job management system, including photos and post-restoration reportsAdhere to WHS standards, ensuring a safe work environmentCollaborate with assessors, claims staff, and other stakeholders, providing technical advice and insightsManage client expectations, keeping them informed throughout the restoration processAbout You2+ years of hands-on experience in restoration (water, fire, and mould)Proficiency in restoration techniques and equipment operationAbility to assess property damage and create detailed scopes of workStrong communication skills for liaising with clients and stakeholdersRelevant certifications (e.g., IICRC in water, fire, or mould restoration) are preferredWHS training and adherence to safety protocolsWhat We Can Offer YouWe, at AJ Grant Building, have built a culture that looks after people, their families, and their futures.
