Position Overview:
We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for future leaders in the hospitality industry. To ensure that Tanoshi Sushi & Tea House remains one of the most popular experiences on the Esplanade in Hervey Bay, we are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and experienced restaurant manager to lead our team. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless operation of our restaurant, with close cooperation between servers and chefs, excellent customer experience, and ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth functioning in all aspects, including service, kitchen operations, and customer satisfaction.
Lead, guide, and motivate a diverse team to maintain high standards of service and product quality.
Be customer-centric, passionate about creating an outstanding dining experience for guests, and regularly review and update the Japanese dishes on the menu.
Conduct monthly inventory checks, including restaurant and kitchen utensils, beverages, and food ingredients; replenish consumables and promptly handle expired items to minimize waste.
Maintain and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement promotional activities to maximize profitability and achieve financial goals.
Prepare budgeting and financial reporting to ensure financial planning and target achievement.
Train and develop staff to enhance team skills and service levels.
Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and growth opportunities for staff.
Effectively handle customer feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of proven experience in a restaurant management role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Bilingual fluency, with the ability to communicate effortlessly with customers.
In-depth knowledge of the Japanese cuisine industry, with experience at least at the store manager or area manager level.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
