About Us : Ferntree Rainforest Lodge is located in Cape Tribulation in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest About You : Experience in Managing Lower Level Staff Experience in Bar and Restaurant Experience with Stock Taking and Ordering Experience with POS Systems Position Summary : Reporting to the Operations Manager, as the Restaurant Supervisor you will be responsible for the running of the restaurants front of house and assisting in the training and supervision of Food & Beverage Attendants of a lower level. Key Requirements : High level of literacy and numeracy Detailed knowledge of customer service procedures Detailed knowledge of opening and closing procedures Demonstrated knowledge of The Company's policies and procedures Detailed knowledge of preparation and presentation of all menu items including both food and beverage Knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations Able to work unsupervised Able to follow directions and work as part of a team to achieve targets and goals Able to communicate effectively with fellow staff, customers and management Able to provide consistent, friendly and efficient service to all customers Able to optimise customer sales through effectively adding value at the counter and at the table Able to operate, maintain and clean all equipment relevant to the role Able to maintain store presentation, hygiene and product quality through following daily and weekly procedures and schedules (i.e. cleaning schedules). Pro-active, positive, enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and friendly Happily and diligently adheres to The Company's dress code at all times Provide positive, constructive feedback for fellow staff, other Shift Supervisor/s etc Job Responsibility : Accurately record sales and banking Investigate, explain and report on any discrepancies to the Operations Manager Assisting in ordering stock in accordance with par levels and the needs of the restaurant Assist the Operations Manager in controlling expenditures such as Cost Of Employment (COE) through ensuring staffing levels are in alignment with the amount of activity within the store (i.e. sending employees home or on breaks when not busy) Assist the Operations Manager to maintain stock control through monitoring of wastage, effective ordering/receiving and storage procedures Ensure maximum productivity and profitability in the store by giving direction to fellow employees of a lower level Supervision and training of employees of a lower level Report any disciplinary action or praise of employees of a lower level to the Store Manager Perform administrative duties in conjunction with the Operations Manager (i.e. collecting invoices, carrying out and recording of food safety requirements) On call for emergencies and any unexpected store or staffing requirements Some incidental/limited additional cleaning duties including washing dishes and tidying dish area Some incidental duties of a lower level Food & Beverage classification Job Functions : Hotel Management Job Benefits : Competitive industry salary Ability to be involved in a fast growing business Ability to learn all aspects of running the FOH Selling Point : Work in the Daintree Rainforest where the Rainforest meets the Reef Contact : Brooke Cromwell
