Purpose As the Restaurant and Bar Manager, you serve as the second-in-command to the Food and Beverage Manager. Your primary responsibility is to curate an environment where every detail is meticulously considered, ensuring seamless operations throughout the evening dining experience at Grain of the Silos Restaurant, as well as providing day-to-day operational support for Woody's Bar and the Café.
Primary Responsibilities In collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager, oversee all operational aspects at Grain of the Silo's Restaurant and develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities Leverage your extensive expertise to guide and mentor your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef delivering our food experience to our guests. Work with the Sommelier in supporting our wine experience and beverage offerings Manage administrative and planning aspects of the restaurant, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering Skills and Experience Prior experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Assistant Manager with significant expertise in managing evening dining services & bar operations Robust leadership skills to engage, inspire, and cultivate your team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere Proven track record in managing budgets, overseeing inventory, and creating staff schedules Effective communicator with adept skills in stakeholder management, both internally and externally The ability to adapt to a diverse work schedule is crucial. Evening availability is essential, with the flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed. Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations Possession of a valid RSA or an equivalent qualification for the specific Country / State / Territory ALL Heartist Membership -Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide!
