The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality evidence-based clinical management, treatment, and care to patients requiring Respiratory and Sleep Management services at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals. This care will be provided within the scope of practice granted by Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS).
The exceptional care that our patients receive is provided through multidisciplinary teamwork, leadership, and the effective implementation of quality and safety systems.
The position also actively participates in research, development, and implementation of education and training not just with medical staff but across the multidisciplinary team in line with best practice.
Opportunity for Private Practice: The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways.Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice.Introduction to local GPs, physicians, and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.The Fraser Coast, known for its diverse, natural landscapes, laid-back lifestyle, and mild climate, is located just a quick 45-minute flight north of Brisbane. You will receive a competitive remuneration package valued up to $461,256 p.a., comprising salary between $176,802 - $258,910 p.a. (L13–L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover, and private practice arrangements. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
