The opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Lyndoch Living and support clients in overcoming the challenges of aging, disability, and health issues, helping them lead fuller, more independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Care & Therapy : Deliver excellence in consumer care by planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic interventions under the guidance of Allied Health Professionals.
Compliance & Reporting : Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation, and document client outcomes once goals are achieved.
Modify therapy sessions as needed, within limits prescribed by the treating Allied Health professional.
Client Monitoring : Monitor clients during therapy sessions, noting any changes or abnormalities and reporting these to the relevant professionals for timely action.
Clinical Documentation : Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, ensuring all client statistics are accurately recorded and updated in a timely manner.
Quality Improvement & Risk Management : Contribute to continuous improvement processes and ensure systems and practices align with best practices.
Assist in strategic planning to enhance client outcomes.
Professional Development : Actively participate in professional development activities, complete annual education modules, and engage in the Employee Support and Growth Plan.
Workplace Health & Safety : Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines, take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and adhere to workplace instructions and conduct protocols.
Report any incidents immediately and actively participate in health and safety training.
Resource & Time Management : Efficiently manage resources and prioritize tasks to meet competing deadlines while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Certifications : Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification.
Experience : Previous experience in community services or allied health assistance is essential.
Skills :
Proven ability to provide therapeutic guidance and interventions in a respectful and client-centered manner.
Strong understanding of the needs of older adults and young people with disabilities, and how to support them effectively.
Experience working with electronic and hard-copy data to support allied health service delivery.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team or independently.
Demonstrated efficiency in managing resources and meeting deadlines.
