The Opportunity
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of a $180m greenfield water intake at the Mulgrave River and a state-of-the-art treatment plant. Additionally, you will contribute to the successful delivery of $140m network of pipelines to distribute clean water efficiently.
This role allows you to apply your technical expertise in project engineering while contributing to projects with real community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall delivery, project management and contract management of elements of major capital works projects
Lead and direct project teams and supervise staff and contractors
Undertake project cost control, time control and quality management functions for major capital works contracts
Ensure that capital works projects are completed with the agreed scope of works, on time and within budget using appropriate QA procedures
Provide regular reports on project expenditure and scheduling including details on progress claims, variations and expenditure trends
Application of a sound technical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Statutory Approval Legislation and Contract Law
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical).
RPEQ status (or commitment to obtaining it) highly desirable.
Extensive civil engineering, project and contract management experience in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
