About the Role: Contribute to the effective delivery of resource and waste services to the community in accordance with agreed performance standards.Operate Council's vehicles, plant, and other equipment in a safe and competent manner, ensuring regular maintenance checks and servicing are carried out.Operate assigned plant (including, but not limited to, Backhoe, Excavator, Front End Loader, and Tractor) to complete routine waste tasks in accordance with Council's standards and environmental objectives.Promote best practice methods in waste management to the public in a friendly and cooperative manner.Maintain accurate Council records, including timesheets, and report operational issues to the supervisor.Contribute to toolbox talks as required and follow written and oral instructions.Demonstrate professional conduct and be accountable for own decisions and actions.Comply with legislative and organisational requirements to contribute to a safe workplace.About You: To be successful in this role you will have:
Valid HR Licence (only required for Collections positions; not required for Landfill-based positions).Demonstrated ability to operate allocated plant in a safe and efficient manner.NSW White Card (Construction Induction Card).Proven communication skills with the ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service.Proven physical fitness to perform the inherent requirements of the role.Demonstrated ability to carry out general laboring/maintenance repairs.Basic administration and computer skills to complete forms, timesheets, plant sheets, and other Council records.Current First Aid Certificate.Current Class C Drivers Licence.Certificate III in waste management or demonstrated experience in waste management operations.Demonstrated competency in a range of plant, including Skid Steer Loader, Front End Loader, and Back-Hoe.Traffic Control Licence.Hepatitis and Tetanus Vaccinations or willingness to obtain.How to Apply: Apply by submitting your cover letter and resume through the Apply link.
