About the Role:
To provide administrative and secretarial assistance to the Manager Resource and Waste Services and to other areas of the department. To deliver outcomes with a focus on the provisions of effective and quality internal and external customer service. To undertake the day-to-day service provision to ensure that Council's policies and objectives are achieved. Managing and maintaining data from Council's landfills, weighbridge, and transfer station sites. Assist in the preparation of data collection and EPA License Reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of reports and taking of meeting minutes. To provide administrative support for customer service, data management, monthly billing, and financial assistance. Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity. Contribute to the performance of Council: demonstrate professional conduct, make the best use of knowledge, experience and skills, and be accountable for own decisions and actions. Contribute to a safe workplace: comply with legislative and organisational requirements and be accountable for own decisions and actions. About You:
Demonstrated computer skills plus highly developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems. Excellent customer service philosophy and experience allowing the position to deal effectively with a diverse range of internal and external customers and situations. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Current Class C drivers licence. Certificate in Business Administration (TAFE) or comparable experience. Current NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain. Experience working within Local Government. Background in Finance or related financial experience. Clear and practical communication with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and colleagues. How to Apply:
