An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resource Industries - Planner with a focus on new equipment to join our high performing Resource Industries team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative individual to undertake various planning activities for new machinery across our Resource Industries Business unit, while also being a significant contributor and participant of our broader Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle. Reporting to the , you will work strategically with the Senior Business Leaders to capture all planning requirements with our customer and on our project initiatives. Other key duties will include:
Collecting data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand and supply insights/plansAnalyzing sales, stock, and other data statisticsReviewing historical sales trendsModeling data to forecast future demandDeveloping demand/supply forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizonsCoordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variancesUsing and maintaining the demand planning softwareMaintaining effective working relationships with customers, customer account management personnel, operations personnel, and parts personnel to overcome any customer issues and drive continuous improvement initiativesYou will also lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the demand planning areas of Hastings Deering!
About You You will have extensive Demand Planning or Supply Planning experience, ideally within an Integrated Business Planning and heavy industry environment. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify critical issues while applying a structured approach to problem-solving are required. You will have worked in a Demand or Supply Planning role within a diversified company with demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships. It is also essential you have qualifications in Demand/Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Sales and Operational Planning, Business, Engineering, or equivalent.
