We're committed to responsible forest management and protecting our natural resources.Position Summary:We're looking for a motivated and experienced Resource Forester with a strong background in native forestry silviculture, plantation management and environmental science. The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity and honesty, demonstrate excellent communication skills, knowledge of agriculture, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to discuss management options for Private Native Forests and Plantations.Responsibilities:Develop and implement sustainable forest management plans for Private Native Forests.Monitor and assess forest health and productivity in the specific ecological context.Coordinate and supervise harvesting operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Conduct resource assessments, negotiating sales and agreements.Collaborate with government agencies, industry partners, and local communities to promote sustainable forestry practices.Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for value-added products and services.Ensure adherence to environmental compliance and sustainability certifications.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field with a focus on native forestry silviculture.Minimum 5 years of experience within the forestry industry.Minimum 2 years of experience working with flora, preferably in a forestry or environmental context.Strong knowledge of native forestry silviculture practices.Underpinning knowledge of data analysis.Experience with forest inventory.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Sound knowledge of forest certifications.Knowledge of land management practices.Confidence in speaking and presenting information to various stakeholders.Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity and honesty.Valid driver's license.If you're a dedicated and results-oriented individual who's passionate about sustainable forestry in the Southwest and possess the required skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.
