The Resort Audio Visual Supervisor, reporting to the Resort Technical Manager, offers a unique opportunity to supervise the installation, set up and maintenance of all audio-visual production across the property.
In this role you will efficiently address all event and entertainment production requirements, support property audio-visual distribution systems, hotel in room technology and activations.
A few of your responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day operation and responsibilities of the Audio-Visual team Coordinate all lighting, sound and audio technical requirements for events and entertainment; supervise successful delivery by the AV team Monitor the setup, operation, and maintenance of all onsite audio-visual equipment Management of the property AV systems including audio and video over IP distribution platforms, and Hotel in-room technology Liaise with suppliers for the repair/service of all audio-visual equipment where required Provide internal training to the wider team to complete their day-to-day responsibilities What we will be looking for Previous experience in the corporate or event AV industry Technical certificate in audio visual Ability to translate internal and external stakeholders visions into technical requirements and deliver these successfully Team management experience In-depth experience working with audio, video, and lighting over IP platforms such as: Q-SYS, Dante, IPTV, SCALA, Amino, Grand MA About you You will come with experience gained within audio visual production from either an audio-visual company or within a similar role in the hospitality industry.
Holding a technical certificate in audio visual, lighting or sound is highly desirable.
You will have the ability to discuss technical industry requirements in lighting, sound, audio-visual and safety with your stakeholders.
Taking pride in leading and mentoring a skilled team of technicians and ensuring they are empowered to provide top-tier support to all departments across The Star Brisbane will be important to you.
You will have an up to date understanding of AV trends and the ability to create thrilling technology integrated guest experiences.
