The Governance and Portfolio Services Division is responsible for delivering high-quality services and advice that supports and empowers the transport portfolio to make good decisions, and to provide confidence that risk management, behaviour, performance, and service delivery is continuously improving.
About the Role The Resilience Advisor – Business Continuity position sits within Governance and Portfolio Services and is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Department of Transport Business Continuity and Insurance Programs. The role will build The Resilience Advisor – Business Continuity will support the delivery of the DTP Business Continuity and Insurance Programs.
This role will build resilience capability across the Department, work with business areas, including workshop and exercise facilitation to support disruption and disaster recovery planning, and maintain business continuity documentation. In addition, the role will provide assistance when required in a range of insurance issues and support insurance claims processes.
The role engages extensively with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA), to build capability and engagement in the business continuity program, deliver insurance advice and support claims management. Reporting and data analytics is critical to demonstrating performance of the Resilience function and this role will support the development, maintenance and reporting of performance and compliance metrics to key governance forums.
The individual must demonstrate experience to successfully influence stakeholders to understand and comply with business continuity obligations, maintain and exercise business continuity plans while ensuring effective delivery of the insurance program. They must efficiently review and maintain policies, collect data for decision-making, support internal stakeholders in managing disruptions, and promote safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations.
