Position Overview: As a casual Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living in out-of-home care.
Working with some of Australia's best youth service providers, every day grants you a unique experience and adventure, empowering children and young people to live their best lives, in a nurturing and safe environment.
Shift times (these may vary): AM: 0800-1600 PM: 1600 – 2200 + Sleepover + 0600-0800 Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment.
We also have emergency and ad hoc shifts available each week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
Kickstart Program Through our Kickstart program, our staff can earn while they learn, as we offer fully paid work to students starting their career in youth work.

To qualify, you must be studying (or planning on enrolling in) an Australian Certificate IV or higher in one of the below courses: Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services, Youth Justice, Mental Health, Disabilities, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs (and many more!)
