Employment Term: Permanent Full-time - Monday to Friday. Location: Gracemere Aged Care Facility, must be available to travel to all BlueCare Residential sites in Central QLD including, Gladstone, Mackay, Emerald and Yeppoon. Remuneration: $54.54 - $57.17 per hour (based on experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances The Residential Support Officer delivers and performs operational activities through the provision and maintenance of structures for quality and clinical systems, ensuring the provision of high-quality aged care, consistent with the values of BlueCare.
Support quality and clinical activities within designated residential aged care homes. In consultation with the Residential Service Manager, assist to ensure services meet identified needs and standards of quality care (including Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission - Quality Standards). Support site specific quality audits and work with the Service Manager to develop, implement and evaluate continuous improvement processes to facilitate ongoing quality compliance. Ensure that the auditing cycle is maintained including completion of service audits as directed, and support action plan progress and completion. Assist to review and maintain service self-assessment in support of accreditation or other external agency audits/reviews. Assist with the collection of site specific NQIP data collection and submission as directed. Assist the Residential Service Manager and Quality Compliance & Innovation Partner (QCIP) with incident reporting (including SIRS mandatory reporting), participate in investigations and the timely resolution of complaints as appropriate. Support the Service Manager service level quality meetings driving change and quality improvements across the multi-disciplinary team. Support complex care management and case conferencing as needed. Support ACQSC readiness including unannounced folders, and supporting documentation. Participate in, and contribute to relevant organisation wide committees, working parties and research activities as requested in order to progress innovation that will support effective and efficient quality service delivery in line with best practice. Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs evolve. What makes a difference for us? Hold and maintain valid registration as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of five (5) year's experience as a Registered Nurse. Current Driver's Licence. All Blue Care staff must satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or Blue Care policies. Demonstrated broad experience in service delivery and quality systems in either the aged, community care or health sectors.
