Job Summary:
SCSS / Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our team. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to young people. Your responsibilities will include ensuring their safety, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.Develop and implement individualised care plans.Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.Promote a safe and positive living environment.Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people. What we're looking for: Previous experience working with young people in a residential or similar care setting (not essential).A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.Understanding of child development and trauma-informed care practices.Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes.
Prior to commencement in this role, team members must hold or be eligible to hold: Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), hold or be willing to enrol into a Cert 4 or higher recognised qualification and a valid unrestricted driver's licence.
