Children, Youth & Family Services (CYF) team members play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people are offered a safe and stable environment to reach their goals. CYF work in accordance with the Sanctuary Model of Care framework. What you will be doing: Be a positive role model and demonstrate attributes that allow children to feel safe, build resilience and work towards positive future outcomesProvide the day-to-day care of all children in the residential care setting and participate in appropriate recreational activities for and with the childrenAssist children to learn life skills in a planned and supportive way & focus on the child's positive behaviours through praise and encouragementMaintain a high level of confidentiality regarding the children's information and historyEnsure that the residential care site is clean and well maintained by undertaking general household tasks including shopping, cooking, and cleaningLead the team and build a positive team culture, whilst ensuring a strong focus is placed on delivering quality services to children and young peopleSupport the Case Manager with the planning, implementation, and management of strategies to support the needs of childrenEnsure all required documentation is completed by the team in a timely mannerPlan and lead Team Meetings and complete shadow shifts with all new team membersDelegate tasks within the residential care settingComplete shift work and in-home sleepovers as required What you will bring: Flexibility across a 7 day/night roster, which can include shift work, periodic weekend, public holidays, night shifts & overnight sleepoversExperience in a similar senior position (desired but not essential)Have completed or be enrolled to commence a minimum Certificate 4 qualification in a relevant area (Child, Youth & Family Intervention/Disability/Mental Health/Community Services)Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the ability to set and maintain consistent boundaries in a professional settingAbility to ensure attention to detail and time management with client documentation and shift reports Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office, email, and web-based applications.Blue Card for Working with Children & NDIS Worker Screening (or Yellow Card)Child Safety and Criminal History Screening – LCS2Driver's licence What we can offer you: Ongoing Learning & Development including TCI trainingAnnual FREE Flu VaccinationReimbursement to maintain First Aid & CPRCEO Scholarship ProgramSonder complete care platform – 24/7 supportCorporate Health Care PartnersLocation Swap – locations across QLDSanctuary Model of Care Framework trainingRecognition – Employee of the Month, 5 & 10 year Service Awards Interested in this job?
