THE COMPANY

Our client stands out as a premier supplier of building approval and certification services. Catering to a clientele consisting of some of Australia's most prominent building firms. Positioned strategically with offices throughout NSW + QLD, they specialise in residential, commercial and industrial projects across Australia.

THE ROLE

Due to national growth our client are looking for a residential building certifier/building inspector to come on board. 


DUTIES 

• Manage day-to-day workload, client expectations and technical responsibilities.
• Delivery of service KPIs and Targets.
• Provision of expert guidance and advice to clients.
• Liaise with clients and industry consultants.
• Carry out the duties of a PC on behalf of our clients corporate accreditation.
• Undertake inspections on building work at specific stages to determine consistency with approved plans, and compliance with legislative requirements and conditions of consent.
• Undertake Complying Development pre assessments and assessments of CDC and CC applications.
• Assess and issue Certificates (CDC, CC & OC), BCA assessments and compliance reports.
• Client management, including constant review of job activity, client communication, identification of issues/changes in activity, face to face meetings and client documentation.
• Take relevant action to address non–compliant work.
• Take ownership of customers issues and follow through to a resolution.
• Be the point of escalation for customer complaints for client experience team.
• Retention of existing clients and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained or improved.
• Liaise with clients and key stakeholders as needed.


ABOUT YOU Formal qualifications in technical discipline (e.g. Building, Construction Management / Certification) or related field and / or equivalent relevant demonstrated experience. QBCC accreditation – A3 minimum Previous experience working as a building surveyor/certifier  Sound working knowledge of Building Code of Australia and development related legislation. Thorough understanding of current State legislation, local government and planning legislation and guidelines. Demonstrated confidence when liaising with authorities and in providing technical advice. Proven experience in a technical capacity. Experience working with KPIs and service delivery expectations. Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse range of issues and manage competing priorities.
