We are seeking experienced Resident Medical Officers for our Hospital on a permanent part-time basis. The hours will be Monday to Friday 13:00 pm to 19:00 pm. The Hospital has four operating theatres, a day surgery unit, a longer stay surgical unit, a sleep centre and a rehabilitation unit.
Key Responsibilities:Perform medical practice in accordance with statutory obligations of medical practitioners, clinical guidelines and policies established by St Luke's Care.Respond to medical emergencies within the hospital.First on-call for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with the support of the Accredited Medical Practitioner.Communicate with Accredited Medical Practitioners regarding the ongoing treatment and care of their patients as appropriate.Ensure all assessments, treatments, and matters relating to a patient admission or review, including discussions with the patient's accredited medical practitioner are documented in the health record.Consistently demonstrate behaviours that reinforce St Luke's Care Values of Excellence, Transparency, Integrity, Respect and Trust, inside and outside of the workplace.Demonstrate commitment to a healthy and safe work environment for all employees, patients and consumers, visitors and the wider community.Selection Criteria:Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.Minimum two years' post graduate clinical practice in the last 5 years.Clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised medical/surgical setting.Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and problem solving skills.Benefits and PerksExtremely flexible rostering to meet your needs.Wide range of salary packaging options up to $15,900 per year to reduce the amount of tax paid and increase your take home pay.Positive and friendly team culture with a like-minded team and a fun and active work environment.Competitive remuneration packages.How to ApplyPlease submit your application by including an up-to-date resume with relevant skills and experience and a cover letter addressing how you meet the criteria and your interest in the role.
