UExcel Medical Recruitment is currently seeking Resident Medical Officers and Senior House Officers for a major level 3 hospital in TAS that offers the Work-Based Assessment program.
Feb 2025 start! General registration is ideal; however, candidates with provisional or LIMITED registration are also encouraged to apply - Supervision level 2 or above.
UK doctors who have completed the Foundation years in 2024 are also sought after for these roles.
Rotations available: Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Emergency, and rural PHO.
Key Skill Requirements / Competencies Clinical Responsibilities Provide quality medical care under the supervision and direction of Registrars and Senior Medical Staff. Conduct day-to-day reviews of patients. Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and concise medical records are maintained for patients with an appropriate signed and dated legible entry in the patient's medical record on every attendance. Contribute to quality patient care by participation in case planning, including appropriate pre-admission planning, in-hospital care, and discharge planning. Provide assistance with surgical procedures and outpatient clinics as directed by the Registrar and/or Consultant. Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment, and discharge as directed by the Registrar and/or Consultant. Ensure that discharge summaries and other correspondence are completed with minimum delay and are complete prior to leaving the unit. Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the health service and local medical practitioners. Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate.
