The Opportunity We are currently seeking a motivated, highly skilled and trade qualified Heavy Diesel mechanic to join our Field Service team as a resident Technician b ased out of the Coffs Harbour area.

In this role, your key focus will have you conducting onsite maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs to Hitachi earthmoving equipment.
This role will be best suited to someone who has strong focus on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for our valued customer base.
In this role you will be responsible for: Carrying out high quality maintenance, diagnostics, repair work and routine servicing to our premium equipment in the field Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships and be focused on supporting our customers Minimising machine downtime and maximising productivity Completion of inspection reports and other essential paperwork as required As the ideal candidate, you will have: Relevant trade qualification – Certificate III Heavy Diesel mechanics Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics Safety Commitment – Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi's number one priority Demonstrated experience in servicing and/or repairing of earthmoving equipment Strong communication skills and customer service focus Ability to navigate technical issues on repair and maintenance services, understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, parts diagrams and repair manuals Self-motivated and team orientated Commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures LR truck drivers licence – essential Here at Hitachi, we believe that success comes from the partnership of our market-leading products and the quality of our people.
