The Opportunity We are looking for a vibrant, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Reservations Coordinator. Reporting to the Reservations & Events Manager, you will be responsible for the management of reservations across our Food & Beverage outlets from initial enquiry and guest communication to booking confirmation, while ensuring the smooth functioning of our reservations systems and providing courteous and personalised service to our guests. Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how a restaurant service is run efficiently, so previous front-of-house experience or a genuine interest in hospitality will be beneficial to your success. Based in our offices at The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne CBD, this is a full-time position working Wednesday to Sunday. Your day-to-day:
Manage all aspects of reservations including taking bookings, confirming availability, updating customer information, and providing necessary details for guest arrivals;
Respond promptly to enquiries via phone calls or emails regarding reservations;
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house operations and reservations;
Maintain accurate records of reservation data and client profiles including guest preferences, special requests, dietary requirements and payment information;
Monitor daily reservation activity ensuring maximum occupancy and profitability;
Other general administrative tasks as required.
You will have:
A vibrant, friendly and enthusiastic personality, and a passion for the hospitality industry;
Previous restaurant reservations or front-of-house experience or a good understanding of restaurant operations;
Experience using event management software such as tripleseat or something similar;
A customer-service orientated mindset and strong attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively;
A proactive approach to your work with the ability to work autonomously;
Proficiency in using SevenRooms will be highly regarded.
