Purpose As a Reservations Agent with a key focus on inbound travel , you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience from the initial inquiry through to arrival. You are responsible for managing group reservations efficiently using the hotel's property management system. Your expertise in room availability and rates, combined with your ability to suggest exciting upgrades, ensures a memorable stay.
The Role Part-time contract position that offers the ideal work-life balance with shifts from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Base hourly rate of $25.80 plus superannuation. Primary Responsibilities Assist inbound group enquiries and reservations made via phone, email, and online platforms, providing guests with accurate information on room availability, rates, and special offers. Be the first point of contact for our guests, addressing inquiries, answering questions, and assisting with reservation modifications and cancellations. Load inbound groups and rooming lists & arrange breakfast boxes for Inbound Groups. Ensure inbound agents without credit are invoiced and pay in advance to the group arrival. Look after loading group rooming lists and ensuring comments and billing are correct and accurate. Distribute necessary information about individual groups to front office regarding accommodation, check-in and check-out, and arrival times as known. Allocate rooms based on guest preferences, availability, and business demands, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Safely and securely handle payment transactions, verifying billing details for accuracy. Maintain meticulous reservation records to monitor room availability and ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs. Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues related to reservations, billing, or room assignments. Skills and Experience Previous experience in handling reservations for inbound or group travel is highly preferred. Proficiency in using reservation and property management systems is a plus. Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
