About the Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and dynamic research driven support officer passionate about clinical trials. You will support a diverse portfolio of trials aimed at enhancing early detection of liver disease and assessing genomic risk prediction for various cancers. Joining a collaborative team at the University of Melbourne's Department of General Practice, located in the Centre for Cancer Research at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, you will have the chance to demonstrate your excellent communication and relationship management skills, contributing to the success of multiple trials. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead initiatives bringing trials to regional general practices within Victoria, necessitating travel and offering a dynamic work environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working on multiple clinical trials focused on early detection of liver disease and genomic risk prediction for various cancers. Collaborating across teams to ensure effective project management and cohesion. Performing administrative tasks associated with trial operations, from start-up to closeout. Facilitating recruitment efforts at both general practice and patient levels, particularly in regional areas. Who We Are Looking For
You will possess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple research teams to support the achievement of project goals, and deadlines, and be able to work collaboratively as well as independently to manage your time effectively. You will bring a demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
You will also have:
A tertiary qualification in any number of or related discipline, with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and as part of a team. Demonstrated capacity to multitask and constructively solve problems with a degree of autonomy and accountability. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
