We are seeking a Research Support Officer (Faculty) to support the Senior Manager, Research Support by facilitating in the implementation of initiatives that support strategic research priorities assisting in the development of competitive grants applications and supporting post-award grant management.
This role will assist in administering faculty internal grants and programs throughout their lifecycle, ensuring that staff and affiliates are aware of the various schemes and programs available and administers the schemes for the faculty.
This role will also support administrative functions required for internal faculty functions relating to external schemes.
Assist in identifying research income opportunities relevant to the faculty's research priorities and raise awareness among researchers of appropriate funding opportunities.Support administration of various internal schemes within the Faculty of Medicine and Health.Work with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaborative, multidisciplinary, and strategic research.Provide advice and support to the development and implementation of the ongoing research strategy of the faculty.Ensure accurate data collection of research activities and information and assist in translating the data into appropriate communication materials for the faculty.Monitor role-based account and respond to queries.About You To be successful in this role, you have:
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to build effective relations with colleagues and clients.Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement policy and procedures and in establishing and reviewing complex administrative processes.Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.Effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.This role is primarily based in the Camperdown campus and may be required to travel between locations such as Westmead and St Leonard's to support other work areas when necessary.
