Full time, continuing role as Research Services LibrarianOpportunity to provide support in the development and delivery of high-quality research advisory and repository servicesBase Salary $ 99,455 - $ 107,216 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity The Research Services Librarian will support the continuous improvement and delivery of Library services for researchers related to scholarly communication, bibliometrics, open access, and access and use of university-created digital research content, including research theses, open access publications, non-traditional research outputs and data.
Your key responsibilities will be to: provide support in the development and delivery of high-quality research advisory and repository services to further advance the University's research agendawork effectively with key stakeholders including other members of the library, research portfolio, AAP, and researchers to facilitate service delivery and reportingprovide specialist advice and guidance to support the development of strategies and initiatives for client-focused services in conjunction with the Manager Research Services, to enhance the University's global profile and reputationprovide support and guidance to University staff and students on content upload procedures, including facilitating understanding of deposit processes, open access principles, metadata requirements, and analysis of repository-specific metricsactively contribute to team, Library and University culture and values.About you degree with subsequent relevant experience; extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in a relevant technical field; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and trainingexperience with and knowledge of systems and processes related to a University research environmenthigh level experience with repository systems, services and requirements, including metadata, standards, workflows, rights and permissionexcellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clientsdemonstrated understanding of research and the scholarly publishing landscape including open accessworking knowledge of relevant frameworks including open access principles, and indigenous cultural intellectual property and management of content related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplesdemonstrated ability to efficiently manage resources and improve the quality of work including coordinating activities, facilities and/or resourcesexcellent technology skills and ability to evaluate and apply new technologies and concepts, e.g.
data manipulation toolsWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
